I was able to go to go to album archive (get.album.com). They should have an album called profile photos. Open that album to see all your photos. I opened Google Photos from another device and the latest photos weren't displayed there, although everything is fine when I open Google Photos from an old device. I store nothing on the phone and I remove any files right after downloading them. In Google Drive, the photos can be viewed by both (old and new) devices.
